Jehovah Shammah - Jehovah is there

I've been feeling kind of blue the past couple weeks... I feel a little like I'm just going through the motions... get up, go to work, come home, take care of kitties, do what I HAVE to do to get by, go to bed, get up the next day and start over again. Church was canceled last week due to the weather (yet another reason I can't stand winter - but that is a whole other subject!) Which didn't help matters not having corporate fellowship and worship. Even this morning when I went, and even as I was singing I felt like I was just going through the motions.

We've been doing a series on the characteristics of God and this morning was Jehovah Shammah - Jehovah is there. Even though a part of me felt like I was just going through the motions, the music and the message this morning brought such comfort to my heart - just knowing that God is here.

• He is here with me as I am going through the motions.
• He is here with me when I am feeling blue.
• He is here with me when I'm feeling hopeless.
• He is here with me when my faith is weak.
• He is Jehovah Shammah - HE IS THERE.

He will never leave me. He will never forsake me. Deuteronomy 31:6 "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
