How often to replace your shoes

OK fellow runners.... any tips on how often you replace your running shoes? A friend shared this link with me which has some good advice, but I'd welcome any tips anyone has. Thanks!

  2. Thanks Tammy. I had one friend suggest 500 miles. I think part of it will be just tracking my miles as I train and seeing how the shoes feel. I can usually tell when I'm getting to the point of needing a new pair. I'll probably get a new pair at 300 miles, then start alternating the 2 pair to break in the new ones. I know I'll want a fairly new, but good and broken in pair before the marathon! I appreciate your encouragement and advice!
